River Island have a structured training program for any new starters which begins with an induction program followed by a 3-4 week induction/training program which then leads to an individual training program allowing other opportunities to be introduced to you as you continue to grow and learn with the company.

They continually assess and update their training programs to ensure that they have committed and loyal employees who wish to grow with River Island.

A lot of the staff say that working at River Island is like working for a big family. Everyone has the same goals and ideas and does their very best to make each store a success in this ever difficult economy.

You need to have a passion for fashion, be enthusiastic and keen to learn, not afraid of hard work especially as it is retail and sale periods are particularly busy periods. Depending on which store you work in will depend on the hours, shift you work, all these factors are to be considered prior to an interview.

As with any interview, research the company thoroughly and go and visit a couple and get an idea of products, staff , set up etc see what you can find out to impress your interviewer.
