Fedex Interview Questions and Tips

There are many different roles to apply for within Fed ex and you can do this by registering on their website and performing searches, enter your CV and application details and keep up to date on new vacancies that might suit your skills.

Roles that are available to apply for are roles such as:

Driver/Courier – if you are successful in reaching interview stage for this role you will be required to show what experience you have of any previous driving and delivering roles as well as your customer service experience as this role involved building up good working relationships with your customers. Of course to do this role you will need a valid clean driving licence, be flexible, accurate and customer focused.

fedexCustomer Service – Before attending an interview for this role you will need to be able to show your background in a similar role, one in which you have had direct customer contact and one where you are not afraid of dealing with customers and problems. You will need to have a good patient manner with a real passion for customer service.

Handlers – Previous handling experience maybe in a warehouse setting will be required for this role, being able to handle packages, have experience of scanning technology etc. For this role you need to be very efficient.

Import/Export – This is an administrative role where you will need excellent communication skills and have a good numerical background. At an interview you will be asked questions about your numeracy and how you deal with customers, suppliers etc.

Finance – A role which involves resolving problems you must have great attention to detail and be able to explain financial information to clients who may not have a complete understanding.
Sales & Marketing and Operations – both client facing roles, must be an excellent communicator and able to manage effectively.

In all interviews Fedex focus on competency based questions such as previous work experience and how you deal with problems especially related to the customer. In some instances the interview has been known to take the form of listening to calls and explaining how you would deal with this. In all cases it’s very important to research thoroughly and if possible compare with other companies.
