Can chalk paint wax be tinted?

To create tinted wax, you want to mix clear wax and your choice of Chalk Paint®. I use old white a lot, but have used other colors as you'll see. This wax was done with Old White. The Old White wax gives an antiqued and beachy effect.

Can you tint finishing wax?

Can you mix paint in wax?

You can also paint with Gilding Wax! Gilding Wax can be mixed with Mineral Spirits so you can paint the product on. Add a little bit of the Mineral Spirits to the container of Gilding Wax and brush it onto your piece.

Can you change colour of waxed wood?

Most waxes are compatible with each other so if you want to change the appearance of a piece of furniture or other wooden surface, applying a darker wax over a clear wax or lighter coloured wax shouldn't be a problem.
