As for the rowdy water park sequence, the "Grown Ups" team chose to use Water Wizz, which is both the name of the location in the movie and in real life. The water park is an eight-acre theme park located in nearby Wareham, Massachusetts.

At the beginning of Grown Ups, 30 years prior to when the film takes place, the five friends win a CYO Basketball game. This specific scene took not only 15 hours to film, but it was filmed in a gymnasium without air conditioning.
