External heaters were placed out of shot so the actors, who were all dressed in t-shirts and shorts, could warm themselves in between takes. Adam Sandler said the pool scene was ad-libbed.
As for the rowdy water park sequence, the "Grown Ups" team chose to use Water Wizz, which is both the name of the location in the movie and in real life. The water park is an eight-acre theme park located in nearby Wareham, Massachusetts.
#3: The beginning basketball scene took 15 hours to film!

Adam Sandler wrote and was set to release this movie in the mid 1990s, with Chris Farley in the Kevin James role. Farley's death in 1997 halted production plans, and the film was shelved for more than a decade.
When Lenny's wife asks him why he missed the shot, Lenny says, “The Baileys needed to learn how to win every once in a while. And the Feders needed to learn how to lose.”
Did Adam Sandler and Rob Schneider have a falling out?
Rob Schneider's absence from Grown Ups 2 and several subsequent Adam Sandler movies caused reports of a falling out between the two, but they later reunited for The Ridiculous 6 in 2015, Sandy Wexler and once again for the upcoming Hubie Halloween.
Rob Schneider, who played Rob Hilliard in the first film, was unable to reprise his role, because of scheduling conflicts with Rob, and because his wife Patricia was pregnant during production. This is the first film sequel that Adam Sandler has starred in.
It had a pretty simple premise though, and it follows five friends as they meet up for the first time in a long time. It just so happens though, that the actors of those five friends are actually friends in real life.

In typical Hollywood fashion though, it was Sandler who was given all the kudos, despite his stunt double providing all the skill and hard work. The comedian filmed scenes where he was hoisted up onto the shoulders of adoring fans, cheering him and taking photos.
Did Rob Schneider really sing in grown ups? Rob Schneider did not appear in Grown Ups 2 because his wife was pregnant during the shooting of the film. The funeral scene in which Rob Schneider sings Ave Maria irreverently during the service is anything but funny.
And during the summer, water parks up north can be very special. Just look at movies like 2010's Grown Ups and 2013's The Way Way Back, both of which were filmed at the famous Cape Cod water park, Water Wizz.

Its predictability, immaturity, and lack of self-awareness were among the film's many flaws. Rotten Tomatoes gives it a dismal 10% approval rating because of its huge popularity in the marketplace. With a budget of under $80 million, 'Grown Ups' became Sandler's biggest earning picture to date.
Among Sandler's close friends is Kevin James, who is also very well known for his witty characters in the movies such as Paul Blart: Mall Cop (2009), Grown Ups (2010), and The King of Queens (1998-2007).
Of course, there's still no indication that Disney has any plans for a second Greatest Showman movie. But Hugh Jackman continues to be a super bankable actor, so it doesn't seem totally out of the question.
