Jurassic World: Dominion Dominates Fandom Wikis - The Loop. Makeela Riju is the only true-born daughter of Emperor Ganondorf and his wife Nabooru
uː/ nə-BOAR-oo) is a character in Ocarina of Time. She is the second-in-command of the Gerudo, Ganondorf being her only superior. She has a second-in-command herself. Nabooru is highly respected by the other Gerudo, who are unaware of her rebellion against Ganondorf.
, his legal heir, and half-sister of Urbosa, she has a bodyguard named Buliara
Buliara is the Gerudo captain of the guard who accompanies Lady Riju, Chief of the Gerudo. She is known as the best spear master in Gerudo Town. Despite this, she carries a Golden Claymore. Riju notes in her diary that Buliara was the one who informed her of her mother's passing and her new role as Chief.
While many fans note their similar characteristics, Gerudo Champion Urbosa is not Riju's mother. However, they share the same bloodline. The Gerudo Tribe date as far back as when the Lanayru Desert became the Gerudo Desert. Every 100 years, a male Gerudo is born, and he becomes the leader of the Gerudo Tribe.
Prior to the events of the game, Lady Urbosa was the Gerudo Chieftain of her people, governing from Gerudo Town with wisdom, strength and compassion. She was close friends with the Queen of Hyrule, Zelda's mother, prior to her death and took on a motherly role to her daughter.
After Link defeats Calamity Ganon, Urbosa's spirit is seen overlooking Hyrule atop Hyrule Castle with the spirits of the other Champions and King Rhoam, silently bidding Link and Zelda farewell before vanishing with them into the afterlife. She is survived by her descendant Riju.
In Ocarina of Time, it is explained that Ganondorf was born a powerful Gerudo sorcerer, the sworn enemy of the human races of Hyrule. The Gerudo twin witches Koume and Kotake, were his surrogate mothers. The Gerudo are a race of virtually all-female warriors and thieves, to whom only one male is born every century.
Breath of The Wild: The BRUTAL Murder of Riju's Mother
Why is Ganon a pig?
Since Ganon appeared as a boar-like creature, Takizawa decided that Ganondorf should transform into such at the end of the game, despite the opinions of other staff members. He decided on making Ganon a beast "with the feeling of a pig" to reference A Link to the Past.
Riju is born to Ganondorf and Nabooru some time after he's freed from imprisonment at the hands of the Darknut Legion, and is immediately named as her father's heir due to her status as the daughter of his legal wife, something which attracts jealousy from het half-sister Urbosa.
In order for the Gerudo race to continue to exist, Gerudo genes must remain dominant during the 100 year time period between the birth of Gerudo males. Since Gerudo reproduce by pairing with Hylian males, their offspring are heterozygous, with dominant Gerudo genes.
Although Koume and Kotake in Ocarina of Time are 380-400 years old, this is not a normal Gerudo lifespan and the witches have extended their lives with their magic. Gerudo age faster than Hylians, with Riju in Breath of the Wild having a mature air about her despite only being 12 years old.
The Gerudo are a recurring race in the The Legend of Zelda series. They are a reclusive tribe of humanoids that consists almost entirely of women; however, every hundred years, a man who is destined to be their king is born. This has seemingly changed at some time though, at least in the Child Timeline.
Yunobo is a young Goron who lives in Goron City in the Eldin Region. He is a descendant of the Goron Champion, Daruk. Being a descendant, he is able to use Daruk's Protection to defend himself from attacks.
Revali is a Rito, a Hyrulean species that closely resemble birds. He has dark blue and white feathers, and wears his Champion scarf and something that resembles armor. He is also depicted as wielding his Great Eagle Bow.
The first (one I personally thought of) is that they are born directly from magma and are subsequently adopted by another Goron. The second (one I've heard on this sub) is that they reproduce asexually, with the rocks on their back bulging and splitting off into a new, baby Goron.
Riju is the Chieftainess of the Gerudo, having inherited the position after her mother passed away. Though she is considerably young for a chief, she is respected by her people. Following the line of succession, she is a direct descendant of Urbosa.
In the Memory cutscene with Urbosa, Link, and Sleeping Zelda, She has the Thunder Helm right beside her. So her and her ancestors have had that thunder Helm from generation to generation. And somehow the Thunder Helm possesses the power of lightning.
In the ending credits of Skyward Sword, Groose can be seen flying to the Lanayru Desert on a Loftwing. There is a small bit of significance in this detail. The Gerudo Desert is actually Modern Day Lanayru Desert. We know this because of the presence of the Gerudo Dragonfly in Lanayru Desert.
for Wii U, Groose appears as a Trophy. One of Link's classmates from the Knight Academy. Groose is a born troublemaker and loves to tease Link and plays tricks on him with his cronies, Cawlin and Strich. He's got quite a soft spot for Zelda, though, and it's clear he's jealous of Link's close friendship with her.
