All moon elves speak Elven, Common, and the human language of their home region. Their nomadic nature encourages them to pick up additional languages as they travel as well, and most moon elves can speak at least one or two additional languages beyond these.
Of the subraces (high elves, wood elves, and dark elves), the ethereal Moon Elves (a high elf) are the most common subrace of elf, and their qualities make them an excellent choice for your next character.

Evereska (sometimes known as LastHome) is an elf stronghold in North Faerûn that was founded in -8600 DR. It is a valley encircled with twelve hills collectively known as the Shaeradim, which was sculpted into a large terraced garden, and inhabited by moon and sun elves.
The Sun Elf is a subrace of Eladrin in Forgotten Realms, and introduced as a subrace in the Neverwinter Campaign Setting. [NCS:49] They are also known as gold elves. Sun elves are notorious as the most reclusive, conservative and elitist of the elven breeds.
“Tel-quessir” is the elven word for “the people.” Likewise, “N-Tel-Quess” is the elven word for "not people" and is used to refer to races outside of the Tel-quessir.

Elves and humans have held the Armlet of Strength and half-elves are capable of interbreeding with both elves and humans and continuing to produce fertile children. Interestingly, half-elves can also breed with other half-elves and have created a fairly stable half-elf race.
They can live for over 5000 years, and they experience "a time scale that is more like the stars than other elves," which gives them a detached, "big picture" perspective of the world. All known imageries of Startouch Elves depict them with horns that are much grander and elaborate than those of other races.
