Each version of the Litter Genie uses the same refill cartridge. The Litter Genie Plus does come with a cartridge that contains more plastic liner, however, when it's time to purchase refills individually, there isn't a Litter Genie Plus refill cartridge or a Litter Genie XL refill cartridge.

Are Diaper Genie and Litter Genie refills the same?

The device is rather inexpensive however they get you on the consumables. The Litter Genie refill states directly on the label that it is 14 feet. Another similar product, Diaper Genie, but marketed for baby diapers uses a round refill and it can be made to fit in the Litter Genie system as this Intructables will show.

Do we need genie plus?

If you want to avoid waiting in lots of long lines, I'd recommend purchasing Genie+ for your day at Magic Kingdom. The reason for this is that there are so many attractions at Magic Kingdom.

When can I buy Genie Plus?

We recommend buying Genie+ BEFORE 7:00 am so that you are ready to make ride reservations at that time. Even though it's possible to buy Genie Plus when you arrive at the theme park, if you wait that long, most of the best ride reservations will be gone by that time.
