Are freedom passes being phased out?

We have now sent out all renewal passes to those we believe are still eligible for the Older Person's Freedom Pass who held a 31 March 2022 expiry pass. We automatically renewed passes for Older Persons pass holders, who from our residency checks, were still living at the same address as shown on our records.

Passes are not valid on Gatwick Express, Heathrow Express or any long distance inter-city train that does not stop at intermediate stations within the freedom pass area. For travel beyond the freedom pass area you must purchase a separate extension ticket before you travel.
