Are all Brita filters the same?

We recently added new filter models to our lineup. While Brita® Standard Filters are white in color, Brita Longlast+® Filters are blue. Brita Longlast+® and Brita® Standard Filters fit all Brita® pitchers and dispensers except for Brita Stream® models, which require gray Brita Stream® Filters.

Does it matter what Brita filter you use?

All Brita® filters reduce substances found in tap water (fluridated municipal tap water), including chlorine taste and odor, for better-tasting water. Some of our filters also reduce the health contaminants copper, cadmium, mercury and lead. Substances that Brita® products filter may not be in all users' water.

What is the difference in Brita filters?
