Warlord and is the leader of The Banished, a Brute-led splinter faction that fought against the Covenant long before the Great Schism. He led the Banished against SPARTAN Red Team at a human outpost situated at Installation 00, in 2559.
Born aloft by a Yanme'e, she evaded Atriox before he could deal with her personally, but her escape was cut short by a blast of superheated plasma fired from Decimus' Type-25 plasma pistol. The shot killed the Yanme'e carrying her and she plunged to her death from high above the floor.
After one battle, Atriox ranted about his disdain for the Covenant to a dying human marine, and after finishing him off turned around to see another Brute, who attempted to kill him for blasphemy. After killing the Brute, Atriox was sentenced to death.
In case that happens, Atriox would win for his brutality in combat and his experience in survival. Atriox took on three Spartan-IIs and won… temporarily disabling one of those Spartans in fact. Tartarus got spanked by a single Elite despite having an honor guard surrounding him.
Halo Infinite's Legendary post-credit scene clears up a huge misconception that many players got after seeing it on other difficulties. Usually, the scene plays without voices, and it seems like somehow Atriox is still alive. However, beating the Halo Infinite on Legendary gives players a chance to see the whole thing.
For those not in the know, Cortana is well past the age an AI should be, and she now suffers from Rampancy, which has essentially turned her evil. This new Cortana seems based on Dr. Halsey — just like the original — but it's the AI effectively in her infancy.
Most people relate Atriox to just the Halo Wars games, but he actually has a canon comic series that expands on his backstory. The comic is called Halo: Rise of Atriox and was released as a 5-part series alongside the marketing push for Halo 5.
Bassus. A fearsome Brute Chieftain that vows to stop the Master Chief from interfering with the Banished's plans for Zeta Halo. He's one of the most ferocious Brutes that players can expect to meet in battle.
Atriox revealed he had learned of a Portal site on Reach, much like the one at Voi on Earth. Long story short, this portal was how Atriox returned to the galaxy. The fight at the Ark is still on-going, however. Let 'Volir has control of local Banished forces.
Following the conflict with UNSC forces on the Ark, Atriox left for Reach, where he was reunited with his the rest of the Banished forces in October 2559. Atriox and the Banished then travelled to Zeta Halo, where they defeated UNSC forces in December.
Brutes are 1200 pounds and elites are 300 pounds. 1200 divided by 300 is 4, so Brutes are 4x stronger than Elites. Brutes are physically stronger and heavier than Elites so they are superior in infantry combat in every circumstance.
Bungie said Cortana was purple when she was young, they show her as purple in Halo Reach and Halo CE. Then 343 made Halo CE anniversary and decide to represent her in blue. Then 343 made her purple in Halo Infinite.
In Halo Infinite, the Weapon does not have a name. It was implied that The Weapon wanted to name herself Cortana after asking the Master Chief if it's okay to do so. In the final scene inside the Pelican, after the pilot introduced himself as Fernando Esparza, the pilot asked what to call The Weapon.
Cortana wanted Zeta Halo, so she was present on it to maximize her chance of securing it. Her conversations with Atriox weren't so much her being trapped in a room as they were her not being willing to abandon the Halo to the Banished.
