To become an office junior you are normally a person who upon finishing school just wants to get out in the big wide world and start earning whilst learning.

The role of an office junior is an important one with a huge learning curve that you need to be prepared for and realise early on the lessons you are learning will gear you up for your future career.

  • Making teas and coffees usually for the Senior Management and for Visitors of the company
  • Taking the post to the post office or preparing it to be collected, ensuring its been franked or has stamps on it
  • Filing
  • Running errands
  • Photocopying
  • Collating documents
  • Sending faxes
  • Answering the telephone (depending on the size of the company)

The jobs are endless and will vary between companies.

Maybe as part of your office junior role you could do some administration qualifications to take you to the next step of being an administrator or secretary/pa etc.
